Sauvignon Blanc

Our estate Mary’s Vineyard in Calistoga is named for family matriarch Mary Trinchero. This site contains some of the oldest Sauvignon Blanc plantings in Napa Valley, which produce fruit with concentration and complexity, as well as a block of younger vines, whose fruit adds vibrance. Both blocks are planted to two clones—Musqué, which offers bright aromatics and flavors, and Clone 1, which adds structure and palate—which add further complexity. We also grow a block of Semillon here, which gives a roundness to the wine.

Chardonnay

The grapes for our Chardonnay are sourced from three blocks of our Vista Montone estate vineyard located just east of Carneros, and the small, family-owned Frasamani vineyard, one of our long-term grower partners located in the southernmost part of Carneros. These two cool-climate vineyards were selected for their variety of vineyard aspects, soils and clones, which offer a complex palette of aromas, flavors and textures to work with.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Our estate Central Park West vineyard, named in recognition of the Trinchero family’s roots in New York City, serves as the core for our Cabernet Sauvignon from year to year. Located on the valley floor at the southern end of the St. Helena appellation this 22-acre vineyard has deep loamy soils, good sun exposure and excellent air circulation, which offer ripe fruit character, good structure and a smooth, long finish in the wine. Smaller amounts of mountain-grown fruit from our own estate vineyards and long-term grower/partners on Mt. Veeder and Atlas Peak add depth and complexity.

Merlot

Our Merlot blends fruit from our cool-climate Vista Montone vineyard in southern Napa with fruit from the Antinori family’s Antica estate high atop Atlas Peak. Vista Montone, with its steep, rolling slopes and the cool sea breezes that blow in from nearby San Pablo Bay, produces fruit with lively, fresh flavors, intense color and a vibrant acidity. Mountain-grown fruit from the Antica estate, with its mature vines and long ripening season, adds richness and a touch of spice and leather to the finished wine.
